Carpenters Mate flat head screws have been specifically developed for use with sheet materials. These structurally approved timber screws provide a flush finish and excellent clamping force due to the wide head. The Carpenters Mate flat head screws feature countersinking ribs underneath the head to assist countersinking into timber, a slash point to reduce timber splittage and remove the need for pre-drilling, and a helix for debris removal.

The Technical Stuff

Carpenters Mate flat head screws have performed initial type testing under system 3, Annex V of the regulation (EU) no. 305/2011 (Construction Products Regulation), with the reference to the harmonised European standard (hEN) BS EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 (Timber structures - Dowel type fasteners - Requirements) for nails intended for the use in “load bearing timber structures”.

This means that Carpenters Mate flat head screws are fully tested and approved to be used in structural timber applications, replacing a traditional coach screw/coach bolt which are more expensive and time consuming to fit.

Orders over £100 will qualify for free 2-3 working day delivery*. Orders under £100 will be subject to a carriage charge - please see below for our delivery options.

Collection

All orders are available for collection from our stores. Collection orders will normally be ready within 2 hours of the order being placed, as long as all items are in stock at the time of order.
