Hinge fronts are ideal for fixing onto interior or entrance doors, where you want to get an authentic, traditional look but do not want to use a t hinge to hang the door. T-hinges are not as robust as butt hinges, and do not have a fire rating so they are not always suitable to use. For example, these Anvil hinge fronts would look great on a timber front door, but if the door is particularly heavy, you may be better using a grade 13 butt hinge to hang the door, and then using hinge fronts to complete the desired look.
