Our range of countersunk self-drilling screws is designed for fixing timber and wood-based materials directly to steel without pre-drilling.
The range includes Carpenters Mate Pro Bolzen screws, developed specifically for wood-to-metal connections. The self-drilling point penetrates the steel while the self-tapping thread forms a secure fixing in a single operation. A countersunk head provides a neat, flush finish in the timber.
Pro Bolzen screws have a 5.5mm diameter and are available in lengths from 60mm to 200mm, with selected sizes suitable for steel up to 12mm thick. A timber-coloured, multi-layer coating with a baked ceramic topcoat provides corrosion protection and a discreet finish.
Suitable for timber-to-steel construction, modular buildings, garden rooms, timber frames and general fabrication. Always check the individual screw specification against the timber and steel thickness before installation.
