On-Roof Insulation Screws

On-roof insulation screws are long structural timber screws designed for fixing counter battens through rigid or soft insulation into the supporting roof structure. They are commonly used in warm roof and over-rafter insulation systems, where a secure fixing is required across a substantial insulation build-up.

Our range includes specialist roof insulation screws from Schmid, HECO, SPAX, TIMCO and Vortex, with a choice of diameters, lengths, head styles and thread configurations. Options include twin-thread screws designed to secure the counter batten while transferring loads into the supporting timber.

Always select the screw diameter, length, fixing angle, spacing and embedment to suit the complete roof build-up and structural design. The insulation thickness alone is not sufficient for determining the correct fixing.
