Wafer head timber screws, ideal for a wide range of construction, landscaping and DIY applications. These timber screws are made from A4 (316) marine grade stainless steel which offers excellent protection against rust, but it is much softer than normal carbon steel. As such, we would recommend always using a pilot drill with these screws. These screws are perfect for use in oak railway sleepers, where stainless steel screws are required. For use in oak, use a 6mm clearance hole through the top sleeper, and a 3.5mm - 4.5mm pilot hole into the bottom sleeper.
