These A4 stainless screws are engineered for trade use in timber construction where corrosion resistance is essential. The double countersunk head sits flush with the surface for a clean finish and reduces the risk of head damage during installation. What are double countersunk head timber screws?
Double countersunk head timber screws have two bearing surfaces on the head to improve strength and sit flush with the work surface, reducing the chance of head shear and improving finish quality.
When should I use A4 stainless steel timber screws?
Use A4 stainless steel screws in external, coastal, or high-moisture environments where corrosion resistance is critical, such as decking, cladding, and timber frames.
Do these screws need pre-drilling?
The cutting point and ribs help reduce the need for pre-drilling in many timber species, but testing in the specific wood is recommended, particularly for dense hardwoods such as oak, robinia and iroko.
