The HECO-TOPIX-plus Part Thread Countersunk Screws are structural timber screws manufactured from hardened carbon steel with a bright zinc-plated A3K finish. Their partial-thread design pulls timber components firmly together, while the countersunk head finishes flush with the timber surface.
Designed for professional timber construction, these screws are suitable for timber-to-timber connections, internal joinery, staircase construction and general carpentry. The zinc-plated finish is intended primarily for dry internal or protected applications; select a suitable stainless steel or corrosion-resistant fixing where greater environmental exposure is expected.
HECO-TOPIX-plus part thread countersunk screws are designed to produce secure timber-to-timber connections. The unthreaded section allows the upper component to be drawn tightly against the supporting timber as the screw is driven.

Installation: Use the drive recess specified for the selected screw and keep the driver aligned with the screw axis. Drive the head flush with the timber without over-tightening. Pre-drilling is not normally required in suitable softwood within the approved conditions, but may be necessary in hardwood, dense materials or close to timber edges. Structural connections must follow the applicable ETA, manufacturer guidance and project design.
