Optimaxx 4.0x60mm Extreme Performance Wood Screws 700PC

Optimaxx Extreme Performance Wood Screws are hardened steel wood screws designed for general light construction and joinery, particularly timber-to-timber applications. The fast-starting design combines a razor-sharp Type 17 slash point with a single, deep, coarse thread to provide rapid penetration and secure fixing.

The 24 grooves beneath the head allow the screw to self-countersink, helping produce a clean, flush finish without the need to counterbore. The double reinforced collar strengthens the underside of the head.

Key features:

• 24-groove self-countersinking head: Provides a smooth, flush finish without the need to counterbore.
• Double reinforced collar: Strengthens the underside of the screw head.
• Sharp, wide, deep thread: Designed for fast continuous insertion and secure fixing.
• Sawtooth thread formation: Helps the screw penetrate timber quickly and reduces the need for a pilot hole.
• Type 17 slash point: Provides an immediate start while helping remove waste material during insertion.
• Pozi drive: Provides positive driver engagement during installation.
• Hardened steel construction: Manufactured from hardened steel for carpentry and joinery applications.
• Low-friction coating: Helps ease installation and reduce driving resistance.
• Zinc-plated and yellow passivated finish: Provides the specified surface finish.
