Restraint straps are commonly used in roofing applications and are designed for vertical & horizontal restraint when connecting timber flooring & roofing systems to masonry walls. Restraint straps, also commonly called holding down straps, come in two grades - light duty & heavy duty. Light duty straps are for vertical restraint and heavy-duty straps are for lateral restraint, as per current building regulations - BS 5268 Part 3
