Delivery

TIMco In-Dex Timber screws are designed for decking, stairs, fencing, roofing, and landscaping. Plated in olive green to withstand up to 1,000 hours (min) salt spray resistance. They have a 50° deep single thread to provide secure fixing with a high pull-out resistance and a type 17 slash to reduce torque and the likelihood of the timber splitting when the screw is inserted close to the edge. They also have a 25° sharp point for easier penetration into all wood types. The washer head provides extra pull-down power compared to the standard hexagon head In-Dex screws, which makes these screws particularly effective for screwing warped timbers together, or fixing timber sleepers together.

The Technical Stuff

TIMco In-Dex screw has performed initial type testing under system 3, Annex V of the regulation (EU) no. 305/2011 (Construction Products Regulation), with the reference to the harmonised European standard (hEN) BS EN 14592:2008+A1:2012 (Timber structures - Dowel type fasteners - Requirements) for nails intended for the use in “load bearing timber structures”.

This means that TIMco In-Dex screws are fully tested and approved to be used in structural timber applications, replacing a traditional coach screw/coach bolt which are more expensive and time consuming to fit.
