As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a proactive and versatile Procurement Officer / Buyer to help us take the next step.
About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on role that goes beyond traditional procurement. While you’ll play a key part in sourcing and managing inventory, you’ll also get involved in customer-facing activities and strategic projects that are crucial to our growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and purchase fixings, fasteners, and related products from suppliers in the UK and overseas
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating best pricing and delivery terms
Manage stock levels, monitor lead times, and coordinate deliveries to meet customer demand
Support tele sales efforts by taking customer calls, processing orders, and providing product advice
Lead or assist on special projects such as:
Developing an end-user product catalogue
Implementing improvements in inventory management systems
Contributing to our journey toward ISO 9001 certification
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally within a construction, engineering, or industrial supply setting
Comfortable juggling multiple responsibilities across departments
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Confident working independently and within a close-knit team
Familiarity with inventory systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
A proactive mindset and a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed
