A2 stainless steel torx drive wood screws for timber-to-timber applications. Stainless steel wood screws are ideal for exterior applications or areas exposed to excess moisture. Stainless steel is recommended when working with woods containing tanning agents i.e., oak, cumaru, merbau, robinia, etc. These stainless-steel screws have a 6-lobe (torx) drive recess for easy drive, and a double countersunk head to help the screw sink flush with the timbers.
PLEASE NOTE: A2 stainless has excellent corrosion resistance but it is much softer than carbon steel. A pilot drill is essential for use in hard woods such as oak, and we would recommend using one in all materials as best practice.
